Spiritual life at Ouachita Christian School is woven into every aspect of the student experience. Through daily instruction, chapel services, prayer, and meaningful relationships, students are guided to develop a personal faith and a clear understanding of biblical truth.
BIBLE
CLASS:
Building a strong foundation in God’s Word.
Bible instruction is a daily part of life at OCS. Our Bible curriculum is designed to foster biblical knowledge, spiritual growth, and a love for God and others. Students explore Scripture in meaningful, age-appropriate ways—learning not only what the Bible says, but how it shapes how they live.
Daily Bible classes emphasize:
- Understanding Scripture as God’s inspired Word
- Applying biblical truth to real-life situations
- Growing in personal faith and character
- Encouraging prayer and spiritual disciplines
OCS
CHAPEL:
Gathering as one school family in worship and truth.
OCS students gather weekly for chapel, creating a shared rhythm of worship, biblical teaching, and spiritual encouragement. Chapel services are designed to be age-appropriate and engaging, helping students connect Scripture to everyday life.
Chapel experiences may include:
- Worship through music
- Biblical teaching and application
- Guest speakers and special programs
- Opportunities for reflection and prayer
SPIRITUAL
EVENTS:

In addition to daily Bible classes and weekly chapel, OCS provides special spiritual experiences throughout the year that encourage students to grow in their faith and commitment to Christ.
These opportunities may include:
- Spiritual Emphasis Days
- School-wide prayer and worship experiences
- Service-oriented field trips
- Special faith-focused programs and gatherings

OUTREACH:
Living out faith through service.
Serving others is a vital expression of faith at OCS. Students are given age-appropriate opportunities to put their faith into action—helping them understand what Christ has done for them and how He can work through them to serve others.
Outreach opportunities may include:
- Community service projects
- Ministry to the elderly, including visits to local veterans’ homes
- Food drives and service to the homeless
- Shoebox and gift programs for underprivileged children
- Mission and outreach trips, including international opportunities
