About OCS
Our Mission:
Preparing Youth for Time and Eternity.
At OCS, we believe every child is created in the image of God and worthy of dignity, respect, and purposeful learning. Since 1974, our mission has been to prepare young people academically, spiritually, and personally for both the opportunities of today and the calling God has placed on their future.
We cultivate honesty, responsibility, creativity, physical well-being, and spiritual growth—helping students develop their God-given potential in every area of life.
Our
VISION:
Shaping scholars and disciples who influence the world for Christ.
We envision graduates who:
- Understand their spiritual identity and moral responsibilities
- Possess the academic preparation needed for success in competitive colleges and lifelong learning
- Demonstrate leadership, service, and Christlike character within their communities
- Pursue excellence in their gifts, talents, and interests
- Grow in physical, emotional, and aesthetic development
- Engage the world with wisdom, compassion, and purpose
From Bible-integrated instruction to rigorous academics and extracurricular opportunities, every part of the OCS experience supports this vision.
WHO WE
ARE:
A Christ-centered, college-preparatory school serving Northeast Louisiana since 1974.
OCS began with a vision to educate future leaders through excellent academics in a distinctly Christian environment. Today we serve families across seven Louisiana parishes and two Arkansas counties while remaining committed to the ideals of our founders. We are accredited by Cognia and the National Christian School Association and approved by the Louisiana Department of Education.
Small classes, dedicated teachers, and a well-rounded curriculum allow us to challenge students academically while nurturing their spiritual and personal growth.
BIBLICAL
WORLDVIEW:
Seeing every subject—and every calling—through the lens of God’s truth.
At OCS, education is never neutral. Every discipline—math, literature, science, the arts, history—reflects God’s design and creativity. We teach students to view learning, work, and life through a God-centered rather than man-centered perspective.
Our goal is not merely to add Bible class to the schedule, but to help students recognize God’s hand in all knowledge and understand that their lives have purpose rooted in Him. We teach that vocation is a calling, that faith shapes daily choices, and that serving others is an essential part of following Christ.
Throughout history, believers have led efforts to heal, create, uplift, and restore—and we want our students to see themselves as part of that legacy today. Heaven is our home, but our calling is to serve faithfully while we are here.

OUR
PHILOSOPHY:
An approach rooted in faith, purpose, and the formation of the whole student.
The founders of OCS envisioned a school that provided both rigorous academics and a deep understanding of Biblical heritage. That vision continues today:
- We honor the individuality and worth of every student.
- We believe all students deserve the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.
- We welcome students from diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.
- We challenge students with a strong, college-preparatory curriculum that promotes critical thinking, communication, and curiosity.
- We provide skilled, caring faculty who understand student differences and encourage growth in all areas—spiritual, academic, social, artistic, and physical.
We strive to produce students who accept responsibility, value citizenship, and serve their communities with integrity, recognizing that they are made in God’s image and called to reflect Him in the world.
Nondiscriminatory Policy
as to Students:
OCS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the organization.
It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and other organization-administered programs.
