OCS Middle School

OCS
MIDDLE SCHOOL

(6TH – 8TH)

Guiding students through growth—with purpose, responsibility, and character.

OCS Middle School provides a supportive, structured environment where students navigate the important transition from childhood to young adolescence. Small class sizes and caring teachers help students develop stronger study habits, personal responsibility, and a growing sense of identity rooted in faith.

Students dive deeper into core academics while participating in Bible classes, chapel, enrichment opportunities, athletics, and hands-on learning experiences designed to build confidence and curiosity.

Core Academics

Students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math through a structured, developmentally aligned curriculum. Using resources like Heggerty Phonics, McGraw Hill Wonders, Saxon, and BJU Press, we focus on essential skills, critical thinking, and confidence-building practice.

Bible & Spiritual Formation

Faith is central to the Elementary experience. Students participate in daily Bible lessons, learn memory verses, and gather weekly for chapel. We help children understand God’s love, grow in Christlike character, and apply Biblical truth in their everyday lives.

Science & Social Studies

Through hands-on exploration and engaging thematic units, students discover the world God created and learn how communities, history, and cultures shape our lives. Field trips and projects bring learning to life in memorable ways.

Arts & Enrichment

Creativity flourishes through music, visual art, and special programs such as after-school art and 4-H for older elementary students. Performances, projects, and enrichment activities allow students to express their talents and explore new interests.

Health & Student Life

Structured physical education, age-appropriate playgrounds, and active routines help students develop coordination, teamwork, and lifelong healthy habits. Rich student-life experiences—like field trips, special events, and leadership opportunities—support the whole child.
